Trying to Master the Chibi Form (Drawing of the Week)

So, as you can probably guess by the title of this post, it is time for the drawing of the week. And you probably know what the drawings are going to be (unless you can’t read, and if that is the case, I pity you). Since I slacked off last week, I’m going to give you guys a whole BUNCH of pictures! Hooray, drawing party! Ahem…excuse my excitement. I’ll just get to the drawings now…

So, yeah…I don’t really know what to call this one. I was experimenting with ink.

Why I drew her eating lollipops, I have no idea. It can be called “Lollipops” then.

I love reading in my pajamas, okay? That’s why she is wearing PJ’s. However, I have no clue why I drew bunnies.

There, I hope that is good enough for now. I wanted to draw the Avengers in chibi form, but I decided to do other chibi drawings before I did that, so that I could get the hang of drawing that way.  All of the chibi drawings except for the first one are in colored pencil and outlined in ink. It is really fun to draw them and I love doing their faces (giving them funny emotions is the best). I also like giving them exotic hair color (as you can probably tell) and I like drawing them with food. Which drawing do you like the best? I want to know, so tell me in the comments!

Happy 4th of July!

That is, if you live in the United States, like I do. If you do not and don’t celebrate this holiday, I have something else for you later in the post. I am writing this post the night before, because I do not want to write it on the 4th of July. It’s a holiday silly, why would I blog? I made cupcakes with my sister, and they were supposed to be Captain America’s shield, but…they were awful. They were messy and the red frosting was bleeding into the white frosting. We ended up not making shield cupcakes. So…Happy 4th of July! I’m going to set off some fireworks here on this blog, ‘kay?

So, with Camp NaNoWriMo going on right now, I haven’t been drawing. So…I am cheating on the drawing of the week. I am going to show you a drawing that I did a while ago. Not this week.

Sorry if the picture is really bad. I didn’t remember it being so bad when I took it. 😛 It is Korra from the Legend of Korra. I am thinking of drawing chibi Avengers and my favorite cartoon animals, so the drawing for next week will probably be one of those ideas.

I’ll have to say both. I love cookies, and I love cake.

Chocolate!!!! I love chocolate!

3. Favorite Sweet Treat?

Um…I have too many. *cries* I think I’ll have to go with ice cream though, because I love ice cream so much (especially peanut butter cup ice cream).

4. When Do You Crave Sweet Things The Most?

All the time, especially after I watch cooking shows where they make delicious deserts.

5. Sweet Nick Name?

Do they mean what other people call you? If so, I don’t have any. If there was a sweet nick name I would want, I would pick Skittles. 😀

 

So that’s all the questions. Next I need to nominate a baker’s dozen (I hope you all know that is thirteen) of bloggers. But, since I just got the award, I’ll do this. Now, on to the next thing. The drawing of the week!!!! This week is a colored pencil drawing of my favorite cartoon guys in chibi form.. Here it is.

Okay, the paper looks a little weird. *sigh* Anyway, the names are under the people, but in case you guys can’t read, I’ll tell you who they are from left to right. Hayate from Pretear, Sesshomaru from Inuyasha, Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Inuyasha from Inuyasha. Yep, my favorite guys are all pretty grumpy, and Zuko and Inuyasha have awful tempers. Zuko doesn’t like that Inuyasha has a cooler sword than him, and Inuyasha just doesn’t like Zuko (That’s just what I think). I even drew a cricket in the corner over by Hayate because I could imagine them all together, not smiling, and not talking. It would be so quiet that you could hear a cricket chirp (chirp? I don’t know). Inuyasha’s ears gave me trouble. Those ears…

Transforming Characters to Cartoon (weekly drawing)

I try to draw my characters realistically, but…I just can’t. They never turn out good, and I’m awful at drawing boys (is this a girl thing? Are boys better at drawing boys than girls? And are girls better at drawing girls than boys?). So I decided that it would be fun to draw one of my characters in cartoon form. I’ve done this a couple times before, but I always gave up and threw away my pictures (naughty me. I shouldn’t throw away my drawings). I drew Stefana, who I talked about here. Enough talking, here she is.

I drew this picture with a scene in mind that I wanted to add to the book. This is in colored pencil and I outlined it with ink. It is much easier (and more fun in my opinion) to draw my characters cartoon instead of realistic. I just feel as though I can have more fun with the picture. But obviously, she’s not cartoon. I think I’ll draw more characters in cartoon now. 🙂

Now I have to go eat some yummy rhubarb tort that I just made.

Drawing of the Week

It’s time for the drawing of the week! And today’s picture is…

CHIBI ZUKO!!!!! Isn’t he cute? *is reminded of Avatar: The Last Airbender chibi shorts*

Chibi Zuko is the second chibi character I have drawn that has turned out. Even though my other one is a drawing from last week, I’ll show you because he’s the only other one that turned out.

Chibi Sesshomaru! ❤ But that isn't really the drawing of the week, Zuko is. 🙂

As you can see, I've been going through time where I want to only draw fan art and anime. If you guys want me to keep drawing that stuff for the weekly drawings that's fine, or I can draw something else. Just let me know.

Now I'm off to fangirl over my favorite cartoon guys (Inuyasha, Zuko, and Sesshomaru, duh). *stares dreamily off into the distance while hearts pop like bubbles around my head*
